A Day In the Life

14 May

-Wake Up at 7 am for 7:30 workout

-Class from 10 to 1

-Practice from 2- 5 or 6. Practice can be just hitting balls on the range or playing 18 holes.

-Homework from 7 until whenever.

In addition to this schedule we also travel a lot! Just this spring we went to Florida, Puerto Rico, Arizona, California, South Carolina, Louisiana, and Indiana. All of this within a two and a half month stretch!

Put this schedule with my social life and the fact that I have a girlfriend and my life can get pretty crazy. However, having such a busy schedule has actually helped me with school because it’s made me use my time a lot more efficiency. Like a lot of college students out there, it was easy for me to keep putting off work until the last second (aka procrastination) but now because I have so little time I take advantage of it when I get a chance.

**Advice:  Even though a lot of you out there don’t have this kind of schedule, I strongly encourage you to make a study schedule/plan. It really helped me. Allocate some hours every day or every other day where you are going to get work done. You would be surprised how much a schedule will help rather than just telling youself ” I’m going to go to the library at some point tonight” or ” I’ll go to the library in an hour” but then your favorite movie is on TV or some of your friends convince you to go out. Make a schedule and try to stick to it.

Cheers!

WOW! You are busy! Considering this is the summer and most people would be talking it easy, you sure have a good sense of your priorities. It would be cool to know more about the places you have visited. I am not sure if you even have time to sight see?

Unfortunately there’s pretty much no time to sight see and more on the places I’ve been to come in future posts. So keep reading…

Totally agree with having a schedule for the day or the week. Another thing I would recommend is keep track of how you spend the day. We all have 168 hours per week and knowing how did you used it could help you to improve your efficiency.

I remember doing homework while being part of a sports team in high school. Do you get work done when you are on the road? I also agree that it’s important to plan out your schedule. I remember learning about Denard’s schedule and he sometimes at max. had only two hours a day to spare for homework. It’s crazy!

I started off bring my work on the road with me in the fall but I never ended up doing it! So I stopped bringing my work on the road this spring. I just try to finish everything that’s due before we leave for our trips. It’s stressful leading up to the trips but it’s really nice not to have to worry about school while on the road and playing in tournaments. Thanks for commenting!
